Production Assistant
An award-winning producer and promoter of live comedy seeks a highly motivated, dedicated individual to join their production department.
Show And Tell produce live comedy throughout the UK & North America, with artists including Nina Conti, Ramy Youssef, Mae Martin, Romesh Ranganathan, Ashley Gavin, Simon Amstell, Austentatious, Vittorio Angelone, Jacqueline Novak, Dara O Briain, Nish Kumar, Janine Harouni, Mary Beth Barone & Benito Skinner, Wanda Sykes, Aunty Donna, Nataly Aukar, Jerrod Carmichael, Tim Key, Simon Munnery and many more. Our current work spans high-profile tours and one-offs in major venues across multiple countries, ongoing West End productions, our London comedy festival (Peckham Playground) and London line-up show (Live at the Empire).
ROLE
The Production Assistant will be working across a wide range of the company’s productions, assisting the production department – comprising of Managing Director, Senior Producer and Production Manager - on delivering a successful program of events. The role provides a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate a passion for making live comedy happen, and an ambition to gain significant producing experience under the guidance of an experienced and successful company.
The candidate will need to provide administrative support, possess an excellent attention to detail and have a strong desire to advance their expertise within the industry.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
A passion for live comedy, and working collaboratively to make it happen
Minimum 3 years' experience within the UK comedy industry or live events industry
An understanding of the UK comedy scene; the comedians, venues and key events
Strong organizational skills and an excellent attention to detail
Excellent communication and relationship building skills
Excellent IT skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Google products
Ability to manage a wide range of tasks and meet deadlines
A willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
Keenness to attend live shows and be involved with the live show experience
Commitment and availability to be present at evening live shows
A strong desire to gain further experience, and to grow your career within the industry
DESIRED REQUIREMENTS
Previous experience producing or stage-managing live comedy shows
Previous experience with venue liaison in a programming, administrative or technical capacity
Previous experience with typical live comedy technical requirements
Previous experience with gathering venues’ date availability for touring routes
DUTIES
Assisting Show And Tell’s production department with successful delivery of the company’s live show programme
Liaison with venues to gather diary availability for show scheduling
Liaison with venues on technical and production specifications
Co-ordination with artists and agents on technical and hospitality requirements
Organisation of essential advancing info for artists and crews
Organisation and booking of travel and accommodation for touring artists and crews
Organisation of couriers, deliveries and office maintenance contractors
Maintaining office administration, including upkeep of internal databases and records
Maintaining office inventory, including ordering office supplies and equipment
Fielding incoming enquiries by telephone or email
Organizing incoming and archival mail and paperwork
Providing in-person backstage assistance in the delivery of live shows, in particular at opening nights, press nights and technical rehearsals
Staying up-to-date on live comedy industry events and developments
Supporting the aims and objectives of Show And Tell internally and externally

Salary: £29,000 per annum.
Full-time role, 40 hours per week, plus occasional evening show attendance required.
Working hours: 10am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, with a fixed hybrid schedule of office and work-from-home days.
Location: London office (SE1)
Starting April 2026, or as soon as is possible.
