STREET TEAM MANAGER - EDINBURGH FESTIVAL FRINGE 2023

Show And Tell are looking for a Street Team Manager to join us at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. 2nd – 28th August 2023.
Based in our Edinburgh office and reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will manage our small Fringe Street Team. You and your team will be responsible for hand-to-hand flyering and promotion of Show And Tell’s shows throughout the festival.
Role
• Line-managing and motivating a tight-knit team during the Fringe.
• Flyering for between 2-and-3 hours per day of the Fringe.
• Working with the onsite marketing coordinator to oversee flyer, poster and brochure levels and ensure maintenance of a good onsite presence at venues across the festival.
• Attending marketing meetings with the programming team to determine priorities for upcoming shifts.
• Maintaining flyer storage and communication regarding supply.
• Updating flyers and posters with new information and checking status of all display print.
• Keeping in regular contact with street team staff throughout their shift and providing them with a steady stock of flyers/show information.
• Printing and arranging additions to flyers and posters including adding review quotes to flyers and posters and ensuring there is no damage to these additions across the festival.
Person Specification
• Outgoing and excited about talking to customers about our excellent shows.
• Experience managing and motivating a small team.
• Excellent people and communication skills.
• Experience in a fast-paced and often pressurised environment.
• Organised with a structured approach to a busy workload.
• Experience of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival as either a visitor, performer or worker.
• Experience of working in a festival or similar arts environment (desirable).
• Knowledge of Show And Tell acts appearing at Edinburgh Fringe and knowledge of the wider comedy industry (desirable)

Rate of pay: £2000 for duration of festival (5 hours per day, £16 per hour)

TECHNICAL OPERATOR - EDINBURGH FESTIVAL FRINGE 2023
We are looking for show technicians to operate our comedy shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2023. The role requires the handling of the get in and get out each day, as well as operating SX and LX during the show.
Job Specification
- Previous technical operating experience is essential.
- Must be competent on digital Lighting desks.
- Must have experience of operating Qlab, setting up microphones and keyboards, and setting sound levels.
- Proactive and motivated individual, with good problem-solving skills.
- Experience of working in a Fringe / Arts festival environment is desirable.
- Experience of running / co-running comedy nights is desirable.

Show 1 – Pleasance Courtyard, 2nd – 25th Aug, 6.05pm – 7.35pm
(not 14th, not 21st, plus a tech rehearsal 30th July - 1st Aug, exact date and time TBC)
Show 2 – Pleasance Courtyard, 2nd – 27th Aug, 7.55pm – 9.25pm
(not 14th, plus a tech rehearsal 30th July - 1st Aug, exact date and time TBC)
Show 3 – Pleasance Courtyard, 2nd – 27th Aug, 9.10pm – 10.40pm
(not 14th, plus a tech rehearsal 30th July - 1st Aug, exact date and time TBC)
Shows 2 & 3 are in the same venue back-to-back, so it is possible to operate both shows from 7.55pm – 10.40pm
Show 4 - Pleasance Courtyard, 2nd – 27th Aug, 9.30pm – 11.00pm
(with 11th off, plus a tech rehearsal 30th July - 1st Aug, exact date and time TBC)
Show 5 - Pleasance Courtyard, 14th - 20th Aug, 7.15pm - 8.45pm
(plus a tech rehearsal, date and time TBC)
Fee
A fee of £22.50 per show (90 minutes, including get in/out), plus £50 for a 2 hour tech rehearsal for each show.
