Marketing and Social Media Officer

An award-winning producer and promoter of live comedy, throughout the UK & North America, seeks a highly motivated, dedicated individual to join their marketing department.  

The Marketing and Social Media Officer will be working across the full range of the company’s productions, where they will be responsible for growing and maintaining the social media channels of the company and our associated artists, as well as be responsible for numerous key marketing tasks that support the projects and ambitions of the company.

REQUIREMENTS

  • An understanding of the UK comedy scene; the comedians, venues and key industry stakeholders.

  • A passion for live comedy, social media and marketing

  • Minimum 4 years' experience within a marketing and/or social media position

  • Social media management experience

  • A strong understanding of the main social media platforms and their current trends and best practices

  • Video editing skills

  • Demonstrable experience with Adobe / Canva / Figma or equivalents

  • Copywriting experience, understanding brand voice, style and audience engagement

  • Strong organizational skills and a natural attention to detail

  • Some experience handling print orders and distribution

  • Some experience with paid for online ads, Meta, Google, etc

  • A strong desire to gain further experience, and to grow your career within the company

DUTIES

  • Creating, scheduling and posting social media content that meets the company’s aims and strategies

  • Video editing, graphic design and content creation

  • Daily upkeep of the company website, and associated artist’s websites

  • Publishing and updating event listings online

  • Managing print orders and print distribution requirements

  • Building and optimizing Meta ads and Google ads with provided marketing budgets

  • Tracking and compiling weekly sales reports, reporting internally and externally

  • Staying up-to-date on UK live comedy industry events and developments

  • Supporting the aims and objectives of Show And Tell internally and externally

They’ll work closely with the Marketing Manager, Senior Producer and Managing Director, and be responsible to the Managing Director.

Salary is £31,500 per annum PRO RATA. Four days per week.

Typical working hours: 10am to 6pm Mondays to Thursdays. Typically in the London office but there are WFH days each week, as well as flexibility with the specific four days across the work week. Some evening work is occasionally required, with advance notice. Relocation to Edinburgh during 2 weeks of August is required, with advance notice.

Starting mid-June 2025, or as soon as is possible.
