Live Producer

An award-winning producer and promoter of live comedy, throughout the UK & North America, seeks a highly motivated, dedicated individual to join their production department.

The Live Producer will be working across a wide range of the company’s productions, with a strong emphasis on forging working relationships with performers, their teams and with venues – as well as being responsible for a range of aspects with the live show experience.

The role requires a passion for live comedy and the ambition to gain significant producing experience, under the guidance of an experienced and successful company. The candidate will need to work within a day plus evening work schedule and have a strong desire to advance their expertise within the role.

The Live Producer will operate across existing projects for the company, as well as be expected to actively create and forge new projects and collaborations within the company. In turn, significant career growth opportunities will be available, working with major national and international comedy performers.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A strong understanding of the UK comedy scene; the comedians, venues and key industry stakeholders.

  • A passion for live comedy, producing and collaboration

  • Minimum 5 years' experience within the UK comedy industry or live events industry

  • Previous experience producing or stage-managing live events

  • Previous experience with show and/or venue technical requirements (preferred)

  • Strong organizational skills and a natural attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills

  • Excellent networking ability

  • Keenness to attend live shows and be involved with the live show experience

  • Keenness to attend shows and events and discover emerging talent

  • Ability to manage a wide range of tasks and meet deadlines

  • Experience with ticketing platforms (preferred)

  • Experience with budgeting and financial tracking

  • Commitment and availability to work select evenings, as well as daytime hours

  • A strong desire to gain further experience, and to grow your career within the company

DUTIES

  • Show managing or repping at the company’s live shows and festivals

  • Writing and distributing show reports from attended performances  

  • Co-ordination with artists and venues to finalize tour schedules

  • Budget management and deal negotiation

  • Creative project creation

  • Show booking and programming

  • Liaison with venues on technical and production specifications

  • Co-ordination with artists on technical and hospitality requirements

  • Travel and accommodation booking and co-ordination

  • Production and show managing responsibilities at our festivals

  • Staying up-to-date on UK live comedy industry events and developments

  • Supporting the aims and objectives of Show And Tell internally and externally

They’ll work closely with the Production Manager, Senior Producer and Managing Director, and be responsible to the Managing Director.

Salary is £30,000 per annum pro rata (DOE).

Full-time role, five days per week (plus 2-4 evenings per week). Typical working hours: Noon to 6pm (in the London office) plus 6pm to 10pm (at venues in London or the South East) on select evenings, with advance notice.

Starting June 2025, or as soon as is possible.
