Atsuko Okatsuka The Intruder
Superb US stand-up star Atsuko Okatsuka makes her UK debut with her solo show, The Intruder.
Growing up with a mother with Schizophrenia and a grandmother who stole from buffets and fed her false realities, Atsuko is now stunted as an adult. But when confronted with a home intruder, she realises that her unconventional upbringing may have actually prepared her for just this moment.
Atsuko Okatsuka is a stand-up comedian, actor, and writer based in LA. Atsuko made her late night stand-up debut on The Late Late Show with James Corden in 2021, and is starring in the new Comedy Central animated series, Fairview the Paramount+ feature film, Washingtonia from EP, Stephen Colbert. She’s written for Adult Swim’s The Eric Andre Show, and Soft Focus with Jena Friedman.
Atsuko’s on-screen credits include, season 3 of the HBO series, Room 104, The Show Nextdoor with Randall Park on Roku+, and Hulu’s latest project with ATTN: Mom & Pop. Atsuko was named a ‘Comedian To Watch’ by Vulture (“one of the best in the biz”) & ‘Top 10 Comedians to Watch’ for TimeOut LA (“Refreshing, artistic, and boundlessly confident”).. She is also fluent in Japanese and Mandarin.
