Publicity Officer
An award-winning producer and promoter of live comedy, throughout the UK & North America, seeks a highly motivated, dedicated individual to join their UK team in a key publicity role this summer.
The Publicity Officer will be working across the full range of the company’s productions taking place at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August 2025, where they will be responsible for leading press campaigns for multiple shows, as well as supporting the company’s overall roster of productions.
REQUIREMENTS
An understanding of the UK comedy scene and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe; the comedians, venues and the Fringe environment.
A passion for live comedy.
A passion for publicity and keenness to gain further experience in this field.
Demonstrable experience with press release writing.
Experience of understanding of press campaigns' key tasks and needs.
Copywriting experience.
Video editing skills
Strong organizational skills and a natural attention to detail.
An ability to communicate with journalists, in a quick, effective and positive manner.
A strong desire to gain further experience, and to grow your career within the company
DUTIES
Writing and circulating several press releases to the accredited press.
Talking about the shows and pitching to journalists by phone and/or email.
Working to secure press coverage opportunities for the shows.
Scheduling in press reviewers to attend performances available for review.
Keeping track of reviewer attendance.
Keeping track of press coverage secured for the shows.

Contract will run from - as soon as possible - until end of August 2025.
Salary is £25,500 per annum PRO RATA.
Approximately 18 hours per week, through June and July. Approximately 35 hours per week, through August.
Typical working hours: Noon to 6pm three days per week in June and July, between Mondays and Fridays. Noon to 7pm five days per week in August, between Mondays and Fridays. With some very occasional weekend correspondence required.
Remote working role, with relocation to Edinburgh for several working days in August possible and to be further discussed.
Immediate start highly preferred.
